The community was initially established following a land donation in 1985 to the SNDS sisters for a Kindergarten, later becoming a parish dedicated to the 1846 Apparition in France.
The feast day is celebrated on September 19th, marking the anniversary of the apparition of Our Lady of La Salette in France in 1846
