Established as a visita in 1858, this cathedral serves as the seat of the Diocese of Urdaneta and is a primary landmark of Eastern Pangasinan.
The current structure features a magnificent retablo (altarpiece) created by the renowned Kapampangan artist Willy Layug.
It stands as a symbol of the city's growth from a small settlement of migrants into a major commercial and educational hub.
