Founded in 1587, this is one of the oldest parishes in the province and was recently elevated to a Minor Basilica in 2022.
The 18th-century brick church was once the largest in the Philippines and has survived multiple destructions by fire and massive earthquakes over the centuries.
It is famously associated with Saint Dominic de Guzman and was the mission base for early Dominican friars in Northern Luzon.
