Established in 1572 in Barrio Santa Catalina, this church was relocated to its current site thirty years later because of annual flooding.
Constructed by Architect Fr. Antonio Herrera, an Augustinian, the church was built between 1614 and 1630 using locally-made brick and sand mixed with egg albumen provided by the residents of Lubao.
