This parish was established in 1987, the same year Lorenzo Ruiz was canonized as the first Filipino saint.
It houses a significant collection of religious artworks by National Artist Napoleon Abueva, who was once a member of the parish council.
The church grounds feature unique modernist "Stations of the Cross" and a beautiful Adoration Chapel inspired by colonial architecture.
