Historical Fact:
  • The Diocesan Shrine and Parish of St. Joseph, more commonly known as Las Piñas Church, is located in one of the city’s oldest districts.
  • It is home to the renowned Bamboo Organ of Las Piñas, a pipe organ made of bamboo that was built in 1816 by its first parish priest, Fr. Diego Cera de la Virgen del Carmen.
  • Fr. Cera also built the pipe organs of the Manila Cathedral and the San Nicolas de Tolentino Church in the old walled city of Manila.
