Also known as Baclaran Church, it is one of the largest Marian shrines in the world and can seat up to 2,000 people.
The icon of Mary was brought by Redemptorist priests in 1906, and the shrine never closes its doors to devotees.
It is the center of the famous "Baclaran Wednesday" novena, which has been a Filipino tradition since 1948.
